From longer evenings to fresher flavors, spring makes everything feel a bit brighter. At The Local on Morford, our new spring menu leans into that feeling with vibrant and comforting dishes perfect for the season. Here’s a peek at some of our spring menu specials we’re excited to share with the McMinnville community!
Fresh Flavors Taking the Spotlight
We believe a good spring menu is colorful, balanced, and full of life. That’s why on The Local’s new spring menu, you’ll see elements like bright citrus, seasonal fruit, fresh herbs, grilled vegetables, and colorful sauces.
One example of this is our Spring Orchard Salad, made with:
Mixed greens
Mandarin wedges
Toasted sunflower seeds
Red apple slices
Feta cheese
Balsamic honey vinaigrette
This salad is crisp, sweet, and tangy – a refreshing choice for this time of year. You can also add chicken, salmon, filet medallions, or chargrilled shrimp to make it a fuller dish!
Starters That Set the Spring Menu Tone
A new season is the perfect excuse to do something a little extra, and that’s exactly what we’ve done with our starters.
Our Smoked Salmon Kettle Chips combine chipotle cream cheese, smoked salmon, and freshly cooked kettle chips for a playful yet polished start to your meal. If you want something richer, our Stuffed Mushrooms are filled with savory Italian sausage and parmesan, then broiled with pesto alfredo for a warm, comforting bite.
And of course, you can’t go wrong with our usual favorites like Fried Green Tomatoes, Pepperjack Fireballs, Audra B’s Crab Cakes, and Truffle Fries!
Let’s just say the options on this menu make it hard to pick just one!

Lighter Spring Entrees
Looking for a meal that’s light yet satisfying? Our new menu delivers.
Pan Seared Salmon: Topped with lemon caper salsa, giving it a bright, punchy finish that feels fresh.
Lemon Butter Linguini: Tossed in lemon butter sauce with cherry tomatoes and grilled asparagus for a buttery, citrusy combo that’s perfect to add chicken, shrimp, salmon, or filet medallions to.
Galligan’s Island Cod: A trio of beer-battered cod filets served with tartar sauce, perfect for anyone craving crispy, comforting seafood.
Bold Seasonal Twists on Comforting Favorites
Not every spring craving is light and citrusy. If you’re looking for contemporary food with a little smokiness or richness, we’ve got options for that, too.
Our Strawberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chop is grilled and finished with a strawberry balsamic reduction, giving a sweet, tangy depth to a classic, hearty entree. It’s unexpected in a way that’s still comforting.
Our steak options are perfect for spring date nights and celebrations, from our Medallions, Ribeye, and Filet, for classic steakhouse satisfaction with our special touch.
If you want something cozy yet simple, our Herb Roasted Half Chicken brings roasted flavor to the table year-round.
Lunch and Sandwiches That Bring Flavor
Stopping by for lunch? Our sandwich options are hearty and satisfying without weighing you down too much.
Toasted Sourdough Club: Oven-roasted turkey breast piled high with tavern ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar, Swiss, and sun-dried tomato aioli.
Shaved Ribeye French Dip: Perfect for those wanting something rich and comforting in the middle of the day.
Other classic sandwiches on our menu include the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Smash Burger, The Local Burger, Gourmet Grilled Cheese, and Pastrami Reuben.
If your ideal spring afternoon includes a downtown lunch, our menu offers guests plenty of options to choose from.
Don’t Skip the Sides!
Our side dishes are designed to elevate your entree to a new level. Pair your meal with favorites, including:
Redskin Mashed Potatoes
Garlic Green Beans
Sauteed Broccoli
Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Mushroom Risotto
Crispy Battered Fries
Fire Roasted Sweet Corn
Our side menu offers plenty of room to go fresh and green, rich and cozy, or somewhere in between.
A Sweet Spring Finish
The Local’s spring menu closes out your meal with a few tempting choices.
Our Mocha Pot de Creme offers dark chocolate and espresso custard for anyone interested in a rich finish. But if you’re looking for classic, creamy indulgence, our New York Cheesecake is an excellent choice.
If you want a dessert that’s all about spring, go for our Raspberry Lemon Cake. This sponge cake is layered with lemon mousse and raspberry preserves, served with raspberry coulis. Bright, fruity, and light, this cake is a beautiful way to end a meal.
